What is the Fiber Optic Transceiver?

A Fiber Optic Transceiver is a module including both transmitter and receiver for the transmission of the optical signal. The optical transceiver uses an electronic to optical (or optical to electronic) converter for signal converting. For the transmission, the optical transceiver uses LEDs or lasers. The reception of the Optical Transceiver signals takes place via a PIN or an APD detector. The Fiber optic ransceivers can be used in various hardware systems, e.g. in switches, servers. Optical transceivers usually have an LC duplex connector or MPO connector. Furthermore, Optical Transceivers are hot-pluggable and thus can be used or removed during the operation.

TARLUZ optical transceivers also offer Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (Digital optical monitoring), which allows you to monitor various specifications of the optical transceiver, such as the temperature, output power etc being in live mode.

TARLUZ Optical Transceivers are available in the following variations:

  • Duplex Optical Transceiver
  • BIDI Optical Transceiver
  • CWDM Optical Transceiver
